Dev Deepawali is celebrated on the 15th day after Diwali.

The Dev Diwali is observed on the full moon day of the Hindu month Kartik. It falls on the 15th day after Diwali. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva killed a demon named Tripurasura on this day. Dev Diwali is celebrated to commemorate the victory of Lord Shiva over the devil. This festival also marks the birth anniversary of Lord Kartik, son of Shiva. It is believed that on this day Hindu gods descend from heaven to celebrate victory over evil. They also gather to dip in the holy Ganges, locally called ‘Kartik Snan’. Hindu devotees believe that bathing in the holy Ganga helps wash away their sins and brings prosperity at home. This year, Dev Diwali will be observed on November 15. It will conclude on the next day at 02:58 am.

Brahma Muhurta: Between 04:58 and 05:51 in the morning.
Morning Sandhya: Between 05:24 and 06:44 in the morning.

On this day, the pilgrims also donate lamps and place them in Deepdaan. This is a way of expressing a request to God.
Dev Diwali Rituals:
On the day of Kartik Purnima, wake up and bathe in the Brahma Muhurta.
If there is a river Ganges nearby, it is advised to take a bath there. If not, then take a bath by mixing Ganga water in the water of the house.
In the morning, put ghee or sesame oil in an earthen lamp and give Deepdaan. Worship Lord Vishnu.
At the time of worship, Chant the mantra ‘Namo Stavan Anantaya Sahastra Moortye, Sahastrapadakshi Shiroru Bahave. Sahastra Namne Purushaya Shashvataye, Sahastrakoti Yug Dharine Namah’.
In the evening, give Deepdaan in any temple. On this day, recite Shri Vishnu Sahasranama, Vishnu Chalisa.
